My girlfriend is a gumiho: my thoughts so far

August 28, 2010 § 2 Comments

I’ve finished watching episodes 1- 5 this week and there have been MANY cute moments but these two are  my favorites:

Seriously, how cute are these  screenshots??Mi-ho looks so happy being hugged by Dae-woong. The standing-in-the-bus scene was especially touching to me. I love how he tried to shield her from the other people standing in the bus, then letting her hug him to feel her bead (the bead is her energy/power which she loaned to him so he wouldn’t die from his injuries in the pilot ep).

Mi-ho is so cute (Her complete “given” name is Gu Mi-ho. Because she’s a gumiho. Get it? :D)  as she falls in love without even knowing or understanding it. She’s innocent and cute while being a strong mythical creature and at the same time she’s a young woman with normal young woman urges!

And I really like this one as well:

LOLZ! In this shot, he’s waiting for her and it’s taking forever. Woong-ah bought a chicken leg stuffed toy for Mi-ho (because she’s a gumiho/fox, therefore she loves to eat meat). He saw it and was immediately reminded of her, saying “It’s exactly Mi-ho’s style”. Aww…how sweet is that? it’s also very comical to me! I just love the Hong Sisters’ humor! 🙂

And here’s another reason to watch this show. The sexy and dangerous Gumiho Hunter:

I’m so curious how all the mythology and reality will work out in the end. Plus they’re already setting us up for some serious heartbreak so early in the game! The idea that “Neither can live while the other survives” is very Harry Potter-ish but this show has a different spin to it. Mi-ho is risking her life and love (unknowingly) to become human while Dae-woong is living without knowing that he could die because of her. Cue the tears and the drama! (sound effects) tanananan!

Where Am I?
